On a grey Monday in December, the girls and I took a trip to the Boat House Balmoral Beach to take the edge off with coffee. Helen and I were first timers to the venue (and Balmoral for that matter) with Jo being a seasoned Boat House goer.
The Boat House cafe/restaurant/venue is pretty special. It was the perfect day to go because a) it was a Monday so no Sydney crowds and b) it was gloomy weather but kind of magical and pretty by the water. The place is an Instagrammers dream with just about a billion things to photograph: boats, fruit bowls, coffee, tables, umbrellas, blue & white walls, flowers, clocks, lollies, you name it. The cappuccino really stealing the show with chocolate in the shape of an anchor – uber cute. We were sold on arrival being surrounded by fruit barrels and a stationary boat filled with flowers at the entrance. I’m yet to try to the food but a great excuse to go back to this dreamy venue.
And after all that the sun came out and it was the perfect afternoon. Happy days :)
