So happy to be back in the charming city of Paris! There’s nothing quite like the energy of this city. It never fails to give me the energy boost I need and provides plenty of inspiration! I haven’t ventured to the French capital for around 5 years since my days of living in London and exploring Europe on a regular basis. I normally stay in the 18th arrondissement in an area called Abbesses near the Moulin Rouge. I’ve always stayed in the same hotel – Hotel Bonsejour which is great for budget travellers and in good area near the Sacre Coeur. There’s lots to do in this area and it’s very ‘hip’. This time however for a change I decided to stay in an Airbnb in Le Marais to mix things up. Le Marais is very central in the 3rd arrondissement which is very trendy with everything on your doorstep. You step outside your door to endless streets of shops, cafes and bars, along with beautiful buildings and scenery (but I guess that’s the same anywhere in Paris!). It’s kind of like the Soho of London or Potts Point of Sydney.
I love the attitude of the French and their way of life, their style, dress sense, culture, food – everything! I like what it means to be French, if only in a superficial way. I’m totally happy to sit at cafes everyday, eat great food, keep up with the latest style and basically live the French dream. Trips like these make me want to move abroad again!
Having only arrived in London last week, and having spent the first part of our trip in Horsham with family, Paris is the perfect solo break before heading to London. I can’t wait to explore further and give you more updates. I’m definitely on the hunt for that perfect Australian style coffee in Paris so stay tuned.
Hope you’re having a great week wherever you are!

How funny, of all the hotels in Paris, I had stayed in that one twice too! Then last time we stayed in Le Marais in an Airbnb as well. The other spot was good for saving money, but not so flash! haha. I feel so at home in Paris. Have a wonderful time hun. You are looking very chic.
