I was recently asked by the team at Di Bella Coffee to review their coffee at a local cafe of my choice. This was something different for me, having never actually reviewed a cup of coffee – and I thought, why not?!
Using the cafe finder tool on their website, I saw that Macchiato in the Sydney CBD served Di Bella. I’d wanted to try Macchiato cafe for some time, having walked past a million times and never actually stopping in, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.
I arrived at Macchiato weary eyed, after a killer plane journey back from Bali – laptop in hand and ready to down a few coffees and get stuck into some blogging! I got comfortable at a bench table and ordered a skinny latte and a slice of pistachio cake. It was nice to be home in Sydney. Despite a short trip to Bali I had caught the flu which is never nice whilst on holidays!
Once my flat white arrived I was happy and forgot all about the jet-lag and flu. The coffee was smooth and delicious and the flavour wasn’t overpowering which was good. I’m a big fan of drinking multiple cups of coffee in a row, so would rather my coffee a tad weaker for this reason (unless I’m ordering an espresso after a big meal at a restaurant!). The cake and sugar hit was also a god send. After enjoying my Di Bella Coffee experience and afternoon at Macchiato I got on my way – not before ordering a latte for the road (which I ended up getting to go).
Di Bella Coffee is an Australia owned company based in Brisbane who make relationships direct with farmers, which allows them to source premium quality green beans all year round. They seem to be doing their bit for sustainability which is good to see. I’ll definitely be looking out for more cafes that serve Di Bella Coffee now that they’re on my radar!
If you didn’t manage to keep abreast of my recent travels on Instagram or Snapchat you can catch up with my Bali Instagram diary post here.
Thanks to Di Bella Coffee for partnering on this post.
