Happy 2017 guys!! Wow, what an amazing ride and a year filled with highs and lows. Definitely looking forward to a new chapter and wiping the slate clean. Here’s my resolutions for 2017:
1. BLOGGING CONSISTENCY / ORGANISATION
Those who know me know that I’m not that organised. My life is a bit of a whirlwind and I’m a typical creative type / daydreamer. Often lots of things in my head never make it to fruition. I have lots of ideas and big dreams, but I sometimes get weighed down with two jobs and not having time to execute stuff. I really envy that rare breed of people who have the perfect mix of creativity and OCD in their personality! I work hard but it’s hard to balance everything between working two jobs and traveling a lot. This year I plan to slow down and focus on becoming more organised and consistent through new steady routines I set for myself.
2. SAVING FOR THE FUTURE
This year I want to start building savings for the future. I started saving in my late 20s and felt like I was a bit late to the party. Imagine I saved all those dollars I could have earned from working since I was 14! It’s a big eye-opener entering your 30s with barely any savings and having to play catch-up. This year I want to firmly start saving for a house deposit and for the future! Even just to have some savings for a rainy day would be a good start. It’s sexy to be independent and have financially stability – especially as you get older.
3. FITNESS / EATING
It’s time to stop eating like I’m still a teen-ager! Although I do love eating healthy, I often choose the quick and easy (unhealthy) options due to being time poor. I realised I did so much travel over 2017 I wasn’t able to set a proper routine with meals or exercise. I’m going to turn 2017 into a year of fitness and healthy eating and this time stick to it! I also plan to go out less and save more, which will in turn help the fitness and eating cause.
4. LESS WEBSITE BROWSING
I spend way too much time on the internet, but not necessarily in the right way. Whilst I could be producing my own blog content, I’m busy getting distracted by emails, online shopping, or scrolling social media. I want to be productive if browsing the internet, like looking on Pinterest for new outfit ideas, reading articles relevant to blogging and researching fresh content ideas. The #1 aim is to create amazing content for my readers and that’s what I should be spending my time doing!
5. KINDNESS & GRATITUDE
In this materialistic world, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the things that don’t really matter. Like ‘stuff’ or possessions, social media, what people do / don’t have. This year I want to focus on real relationships and the people that matter most – real friends, followers and supporters that make you feel amazing in day-to-day life. They know who they are!
6. OUTDOORS / NATURE
In 2017 I want to get out and see more of the natural world! Even if it’s a random weekend hike or doing the coastal walk every Saturday. I miss the beach too and don’t get there often enough! I spent most of my days at the beach growing up, and my former self wouldn’t even know the me of today, barely getting to the beach once a week. I love nothing more than spending a morning or afternoon in the sea. I want to do more of what I love as I get older, not less!

These are some good goals Andrea, particularly to curb time spent aimlessly online, I am guilty of that! Oh the things I add to my cart after carefully choosing, only to click out of it and know I was never going to buy anyway. haha. Definitely keen to go on more hikes this year too.
Love this coat on you! Your hair is perfect for it!
