When I normally wear black and white it’s not a full head to toe look. I like to stick to black and white stripe dresses, or something more classic like a black jeans & white shirt. However on a trip to Target I fell in love with a couple of hero pieces (white shoes & black asymmetrical skirt) and wanted to create a fresh summer black and white ensemble. The vest is beige but I would still consider this a black & white outfit – hey a girl can mix things up!
Some tips or creating a fresh black & white outfit:
1/ Start from the feat up and don’t be scared of white shoes! They’re perfect for summer and a fresh alternative to black.
2/ Match your top with your shoes & bottoms with your bag (this works a treat as it keeps the black & white consistent from head to toe)
3/ Add in another neutral colour – on this occasion I went with a pale beige vest, but equally you could choose grey or navy something that won’t over power the black and white.
4/ Wear silver jewellery. I love gold equal to silver and will mix it up, but I think silver jewellery works better with a black and white outfit as it’s more subtle.
