Centrally located in the Double Bay hub, this relatively newish addition to the scene is an absolute gem. James and I recently went to Char & Co for a casual Thursday date, not knowing we were in for such a treat.

We arrived on half seven, and secured a cosy table for two in the back. We were pretty excited about having a meat feast, but not having been to a Brazilian restaurant before I didn’t know what to expect. We ordered a couple of cocktails to kick-off the evening, and reeled over the extensive menu. Shortly after, the wait staff were back to explain everything and make suggestions – which I love when trying out a new cuisine. They were super lovely and are clearly passionate about what they do!

Our cocktails came and were were in heaven, trying out a espresso martini and caipirinha. The menu is Brazilian and all about meat, expect ribs, steak etc and full churrasco (Brazilian BBQ) with sides. That’s not to say you should steer clear if you’re a vegetarian, there’s plenty of non-meat style dishes that will make your mouth water – like the pumpkin risotto or the fried battered jalapenos. Not to mention the stylish cocktails :)

We couldn’t fault the food or service at Char & Co. It’s the perfect dinner setting for a group of mates enjoying a meal or a fun date night. It offers a trendy setting and divine food, right in the heart of Double Bay’s cosmopolitan bar and restaurant scene. Looking forward to a cocktail on the balcony during summer! xo

Love this place! I went there the other day and it was amazing! Nothing like a bit of meat and good service to have me coming back for more haha! x
