This past weekend my boyfriend and I packed up for a little adventure, crossing the Harbour Bridge to the North side of Sydney. Hotel Urban St Leonards was our haven for the weekend, and it was the perfect spot for some R&R in own city.
Based on the Pacific Highway Hotel Urban could easily be missed from the buzzing street below, but it definitely shouldn’t be! Behind the greenery is a modern oasis waiting to be discovered.
Checking into a suite was a great idea. With views back to the city and a massive balcony, it’s the perfect spot to catch some afternoon rays, sip a rose and ultimately chill out. I literally could not praise this suite enough (it was beautiful) so it’s best you see for yourself on my Instagram here.
The in-house cafe ‘Sure Cafe’ is a god send and definitely has the edge on other hotel restaurants I’ve experienced. It’s got it’s own personality and a great space with mix of indoor / outdoor seating and trendy decor. It was lovely to check in and dump our bags, then head for a wine and late lunch downstairs. Dinner saw us venturing to relatively new spot in St Leonards called ‘The Rice Den’. There’s also the bars and restaurants of Crows Nest which are a short cab ride away. Brunch was however the highlight, trying some of the Sure Cafe favourites like frittas and mushroom bruschetta.
What’s to love about the Urban:
Sure Cafe serving up modern Australian cuisine
Slick decor – trendy and modern with minimal vibes
Veranda with sun deck in the suite rooms
Close to the Northern Beaches – a quick bus ride to Manly from outside the Hotel
Great cafe and in room service
Latest mags in the room – heaven!
Lovely management & staff
Sometimes a little staycation in your own city is just what the doctor ordered! Looking forward to venturing back to Hotel Urban very soon. xo
