Any blogger will tell you that when you stumble across the perfect photo situation you need to be ready, and I always carry a camera at all times for that reason. Even if it’s just the iPhone camera! Something can catch your eye in an instant, and you know you’ve got a perfect photo situation. This happened recently when walking to a local wine bar in Paddington with Helen from Boho Chic blog (my welsh BFF). It was right on golden hour (that gorgeous hour of light before it goes dark) and we spotted some pretty red flowers behind a terrace, and figured they would be the perfect match for my red leather mini. We lined up some shots on the street, got a few snaps in, and proceeded to Wine Library in Woollahra for catch ups and girl gossip. All in a day’s work!

This amazing red leather skirt, I can already see this piece becoming a staple in my wardrobe throughout winter & summer. There’s something so cool about leather, and when it’s the colour red – well that’s just a whole new level. I happened to wear this skirt to the bloggers lunch last weekend too at Watson’s Bay Hotel.

You’ll probably notice I’ve been showing my legs a bit this winter, which the mild sydney weather has allowed for. The reason being I’m not really a big fan of stockings or tights. That said I don’t want to freeze for fashion, so I’ll definitely be sticking to pants and jeans as the colder months take over, and as it becomes more of an effort to fake tan my legs!

I guess the cold won’t matter too much because we’re actually off on holidays in 3 weeks! My boyfriend (James) and I jet setting away for 6 weeks to: LA> San Diego> Palm Springs> Las Vegas> NYC> Reykjavik> London> Dubai>home. I’m really looking forward to meeting some of James’ family who I haven’t met yet, meeting up with old friends in London (my second home) and seeing my two sister’s who are both moving to Europe – not to mention blogging from new places!

Hoping you guys will stay abreast of my travels and follow on social media! Do you have any great trips? Would love to hear if you do!

Thanks lovelies.

Ps. Betts have coined these ‘Slave’ shoes as the ultimate wardrobe staple and I completely agree. My biggest trend predictions for next spring/summer are neutral strappy heels that elongate your legs (and of course mules!)
