Some little snapshots from our trip to Byron Bay. There’s something relaxing about Byron Bay from the moment you get off the plane at Ballina airport. It’s definitely become one of my favourite holiday destinations outside of Sydney because of these chilled vibes!

I love summer towns in the winter when you can explore and enjoy the best they have to offer without the crowds. The temps are always slightly hotter in Byron than in Sydney and it’s the perfect little getaway! This particular trip we stayed at Barbara’s guest house which was one of the nicest and most central places we’ve stayed. The host was absolutely lovely and we would definitely go back! The outdoor shower was the highlight with hot water and showering under the stars!

10 THINGS TO DO IN BYRON BAY

Stay: Barbaras Guest House (pictured) – a charming little 5 bedroom guest house just behind the main street in Byron.

Do: Kayak in the ocean at the far end of the beach.

Breakfast: Acai or breakfast burger at Topshop.

Drink: Miss Margarita – the coconut margaritas are the best!

Shop: Hope & May Boutique – stocking Zimmerman, Faithful The Brand, and a vintage Levis.

Pamper: ‘Be Waxed & Tanned’ does exactly as the name says and it’s the best in Byron.

Lunch: Main Street Burger Bar, the chicken burgers are lush and the shakes are divine.

Walk: To the lighthouse via Wategos Beach.

Dinner: St Elmo – easily one of the best restaurants (if not the best) in Byron. Divine food  + excellent service.

Ice Cream: Have a sweet treat at Bella Rosa gelato.

I absolutely love Byron Bay. Haven’t been there in years. But super inspired to head back there now.
    Maybe even this summer ;)

St Elmo is such a great place. I’d like to check out Hope and May Boutique too.

    Great post!
