This Melbourne Cup race day was a relaxed affair by the beach at Daniel San Manly (the newish sister venue of Watsons Bay Hotel). It was such a great day with everyone in great spirits on the ferry trip over with anticipation for the restaurant – and big race! We arrived to find the perfect beach front table setting, with prime views of Manly promenade. As we sipped our first glass of bubbles we started to explore the crazy collision of cultures that Daniel San is, Japenese vibes with a rock’n’roll and oriental edge. Think lots of neon signs, flowers, guitars and a huge space. The food starting coming out, and didn’t stop – much to the delight of everyone. The mains were a delicious mix of sashimi, soft shell crab burgers, ribs and lots more. Everyone loved the feast!

Overall a lovely day out spent with friends, look forward to venturing back to Daniel San Manly this summer!

Hope you had a great cup day too :)
