When I found this Alannah Hill dress I instantly thought winter wedding guest outfit. I love bold colours for winter weddings as they pop against stark winter tones – think red, turquoise and purple. Luxe fabrics like lace, velvet and scuba (basically all the fabrics we can’t wear in summer) reign supreme and it’s a chance to dress to the nines. Finding the perfect coat or blazer to match is essential, and Country Road has you covered with these beauties here and here (on sale!). I like to wear the blazer oversized to give the ‘stolen-your-boyfriends-jacket’ look. Finishing off with an eye-catching gold chain bag.
I’ve also been eyeing off this Self-Portrait number in the Net-A-Porter sale and hanging for a wedding invite or somewhere equally special to wear it!
